BOFF is a not-for-profit enterprise. It is a commercial event though, and when everything goes to plan, we do make more money that we spend. Each year we keep back enough to fund the following year’s event and anything else is given to good causes. In the last few years we have been able to give £3800 to Alzheimer’s Society £4787 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association; £2000 to Young Minds; £1300 to the Friends of Olney Library; £1000 to Olney is Kind and £1000 to the Olney Ukraine Fund. Some of this is from event surplus and some from our charity raffle.
2025’s main beneficiary was Ailsa’s Aim and we raised £5000 for them. In addition we gave £500 to Friends of Olney Infant School and £250 to Friends of the Carribean.
This year we will be raising funds for Willen Hospice.
