BOFF is a not-for-profit enterprise. It is a commercial event though, and when everything goes to plan, we do make more money that we spend. Each year we keep back enough to fund the following year’s event and anything else is given to good causes. In the last few years we have been able to give £3800 to Alzheimer’s Society £4787 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association; £2000 to Young Minds; £1300 to the Friends of Olney Library; £1000 to Olney is Kind and £1000 to the Olney Ukraine Fund. Some of this is from event surplus and some from our charity raffle.

This year’s beneficiary will be Ailsa’s Aim

Ailsa’s Aim offer support, funds, advice and some of life’s little comforts to people suffering from cancer or gestational diabetes or have experienced premature and problematic childbirth.  They aim to go beyond fundraising and help not just medical trusts, but also individuals on their own journeys and those that are on their journeys with them including their families and carers. They offer support, care packs, services and signposting to other relevant and appropriate services.

They are a local charity born out of a personal story….
